Job Summary:

The shift manager is responsible for leading a team of warehouse associates in ensuring inbound and outbound shipments of products are maneuvered and processed safely through the warehouse.

What You’ll Do:

• Assist in daily warehouse operations including but not limited to vendor receiving, computer system runs, accurate tagging, putting, staging and inventory of all products.

• Responsible for timeliness and accurate daily reporting to the Ops Manager.

• Responsible for examining shipment contents by comparing records such as BOLs, invoices, or orders to verify accuracy of shipment.

• Ensures the culture of the department aligns to NPF core values.

• Be responsible for and follow safety and health regulations by participating in and leading safety meetings, reporting hazardous conditions, and performing job according to Best Practices.

• Assist in training and coaching all warehouse employees following training guidelines and Best Practices.

• Recommend improvements to our systems and processes to improve KPI performance.

• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Must be certified to operate a forklift.

• Warehousing experience is required.

• Must be a team player.

• Must have experience working in a temperature-controlled environment.

• Experience in a leadership role required.

• Must have good teamwork skills and effectively communicate with others.

• Must be dependable and have a good attendance record.

• Must have basic math and computer skills.

• Must be willing to work weekends, holidays, or when requested to support the 24/7 business.

• Must be able to repetitively lift/carry up to fifty pounds and push/pull up to 250 pounds.

• Must be able to perform frequent bending, kneeling, pushing, and squatting and frequent reaching over shoulder, waist level, and from the floor.
