Job Description Summary

Role Summary:

This leadership role will define and implement GE Healthcare's integrated supply chain framework, focusing on supplier footprint optimization and make vs. buy vs. partner/OEM/Joint Venture decisions. Serving as both a strategic partner to leadership and an operational orchestrator, this position requires exceptional business acumen, supply chain expertise, and the ability to influence at all organizational levels. The ideal candidate will translate conceptual ideas into actionable strategies, maintain operational excellence through lean principles, and drive accountability across the organization. With additional responsibility for growth market development and BD/Acquisition work as needed, this role optimizes the supply chain speed, cost, operational leverage, reliability, and cash flow with a strong link to business strategy.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

Strategic Transformation

  • Define and shape strategic change initiatives across ISC and the business, enabling the best-in-play framework to effectively leverage standards of lean principles, cost effectiveness/outcomes, and other contingencies

  • Function as a strategic orchestrator who ensures operational excellence by driving deliverables, maintaining clear tracking of KPIs, and providing exceptional follow-through to keep initiatives on schedule and aligned with business objectives

  • Champion data literacy and digital innovation across the supply chain, fostering a culture of curiosity and continuous learning around emerging technologies such as AI and advanced analytics. Leverage data-driven insights to inform strategic decisions and enhance operational resilience, speed, and service delivery.

  • Bring the customer-first view to the process focus

  • Provide a solid, repeatable roadmap for assessing viability of initiatives from all angles, using both objective data and subjective judgment

  • Engage stakeholders to build buy-in and understanding for long-term impact

  • Translate leadership's conceptual ideas into clear, concise presentations that articulate vision in ways both the organization and senior leaders can quickly grasp

Supply Chain Strategy

  • Work across Segments, Regions, and SC to define and recommend outcomes to business teams on operational matters

  • Work effectively with business leaders across the space - SC, Commercial, R&D, and including external customers and/or stakeholders (gov't affairs, suppliers) to ensure effective supply chain delivery

  • Motivate and inspire step-change thinking and perpetual continuous improvement

  • Demonstrate heavy influence, listening, and solutions mindset

  • Serve as a recognized expert in supply chain and business impact

Operational Finance

  • Drive accountability to business plans and manage risk, partner in SBU to drive growth through supply chain enablement

  • Lead P&E planning with effective business cases to meet cost targets

  • Build, manage, and adapt program budgets to meet needs

  • Demonstrate adaptability and navigate change with a winning team spirit

  • Apply solutions mindset to financial challenges

  • Connect supply chain decisions with customer impact

Lean Leadership

  • Continuously simplify to drive out waste and ensure continuous operational improvement across the w2w business

  • Drive with operational intensity and purpose

  • Embody lean principles as a natural part of leadership approach

  • Demonstrate strong expertise in lean processes (Kaizens, genba, Kanban, etc.)

Problem Solving & Change Management

  • Solve problems using others' expertise, particularly in unclear conditions, leveraging analytical rigor in decision making

  • Collaborate to drive quickly to solutions

  • Appropriately challenge status quo and push for change effectively with others

  • Understand and navigate the external business environment

Team Leadership

  • Work with business to align teams around strategy, effectively leveraging matrix of stakeholders and managing conflict to drive outcomes

  • Drive transformational change while bringing the organization along

  • Demonstrate strong collaboration and influence skills

  • Exhibit strong people leadership, attract and develop talent, and maintain a decisive yet collaborative executive style

  • Lead leaders of leaders effectively

Operational Excellence & Accountability

  • Manage the operational rigor and mechanisms for day-to-day planning and deliverables for supply chain and services teams

  • Leverage standard work for consistency and ensure understanding and adherence across teams

  • Hold self and others accountable to meet commitments

  • Demonstrate comfort in understanding and challenging various stakeholders for outcomes

Qualifications:

  • BS Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or other related disciplines

  • At least 15 years overall experience with at least 10+ year experience in supply chain / manufacturing operations and design.

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience in an Executive Level position Has superior strategic, analytic, and problem-solving skills, and is capable of clearly communicating a vision and outcomes across the company and clients. Experience leading a global team is desirable, as is an advanced understanding of Manufacturing/Supply Chain systems and processes. Strong lean mindset and experience – reinforce a Lean culture and commitment to process excellence. Kaizen execution, genba approach to outcomes. Ability to structure, manage, and coordinate multiple complex cross-functional projects, teams, and processes with multiple stakeholders at both senior and junior levels Natural collaborator, with excellent communication skills and strong executive presence. Must be disciplined and comfortable with ambiguity, possessing the maturity and capability to interact and influence across multiple levels and a global matrixed organization Exhibit relevant and consistent leadership behaviors in team management, customer communications and internal interactions with peers, senior management, clients, and third-party suppliers.

Aware of and comply with the GEHC Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action as required Proficient knowledge and understanding of GEHC Purchasing Controls Procedure and associated Work Instructions and operates within them to ensure that all purchased product and services conform to specified requirements. Lead the development and maintaining of fully qualified and compliant supply base.
