The Senior Analyst of FP& A will play a key role in supporting the budget and forecast cycles and prepare financial reports and analyses to support senior leadership in key decision making.
Primary Responsibilities
Assist in the development of budgets, financial models, and project reporting deliverables.
Support the monthly, quarterly, and annual business planning process.
Effectively partner with the project and finance teams to maintain reliable project forecasts.
Produce and analyze financial data for projects including variance analysis to budget and prior forecast.
Review financial forecasts compared to operating budgets and prepare business modeling identify trends affecting business performance.
Assist in preparation of specific Investor Reporting requirements and ad-hoc project analyses using a broad range of tools including Yardi and Excel.
Assist in various ad hoc financial analysis, financial systems and process improvements, and special projects.
Prepare monthly financial analysis package, which includes explanation of income statement and metrics.
Maintain the overall consolidated project forecast model and analyze variances in returns.
Prepare inputs to monthly and quarterly consolidated reporting package.
Prepare financial statement analytics and analyses.
Maintain effective communication within team and coordination with the various project teams and other departments.
Conduct special project work for finance or other departments, as needed, through direction of Finance leadership.
Help prepare presentation quality deliverables for Finance and Business leadership.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA or MBA preferred.
5+ years of related professional work experience, or any similar combination of education and experience.
Detail oriented, must understand project actuals and key drivers of past performance.
Experience in the areas of forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis, data mining and interpretation. Preferred qualifications
Commercial Real Estate industry, particularly development, experience strongly preferred.
Experience building models for business forecasting, variance analysis and problem solving in a property and/or construction context.
