Job Title: QC Chemist
Job Description
The QC Chemist will perform quality control testing on products in the chemical manufacturing industry. Will perform testing on in-process and finished products to ensure specifications are met. Make recommendations and adjustments to batches that are out of spec. Also will assist with method validation and method development.
Testing involved will include:
• Density
• Particle Size Distribution (PSD)
• Brunauer-Emmett-Teller (BET)
• Carbon Content Analyzer (via Leco instrument)
• Moisture content
• Viscosity
• pH and gas generation (densimeter)
• Rheology
• TGA (Thermal Gravimetric Analysis)
• Stability Analyzer
• ICP
• X-Ray Diffraction
• Karl Fischer (for moisture)
• Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM)
Hard Skills
Bachelor of Science in Sciences
2-5 years of experience in a chemical lab environment
Some experience with method development is preferred
Understanding of measurement analysis, chemicals
Experience with Particle Size Analyzer a plus
Experience with BET (Brunauer-Emmett-Teller) a plus
