Job Description Summary

A Quality and Compliance Inspector focused on buildings and equipment ensures that these assets meet established quality standards, safety regulations, and legal requirements.

Job Description

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Inspecting buildings: Assessing structural integrity, safety features (like fire suppression systems and emergency exits), and compliance with building codes and accessibility standards.

  • Inspecting equipment: Examining HVAC, and other equipment for proper preventative maintenance, and adherence to operational guidelines and safety regulations.

  • Identifying defects and non-compliance: Detecting any issues, damages, or deviations from programs and protocols related to buildings and equipment.

  • Documenting findings: Recording inspection results, noting any deficiencies or areas of concern with detailed reports and supporting evidence utilizing Fulcrum Technologies.

  • Recommending corrective actions: Suggesting necessary corrections, maintenance, or modifications to address identified issues and ensure compliance.

  • Ensuring regulatory compliance: Verifying that buildings and equipment adhere to all relevant local, state, and federal regulations, as well as industry-specific standards.

  • Monitoring maintenance and repair work: Following up on completed work to ensure it meets quality and compliance standards.

  • Contributing to safety audits and risk assessments: Participating in evaluations to identify potential hazards and ensure a safe working environment related to buildings and equipment.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of experience in a related occupation

  • Willingness to travel – 90%

  • Proficient in Office, Word, Excel, and Smartsheet programs

  • Knowledge of Facility Management, Engineering, and Fire, Life, and Safety

  • Extensive comprehension related to mechanical systems

  • Strong commitment to quality assurance

  • Ability to utilize technology for the outlined program, Fulcrum Technologies

  • Must be able to prepare and present detailed reports on building operations and systems. Must be able to write professional business correspondence and procedural manuals.

The company will not pay less than minimum wage for this role.
