Position Overview: We are seeking a Purchasing and Inventory Control Lead to join our team. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth operation of our inventory management and quality control processes. The ideal candidate will be skilled in Excel (including VLOOKUPs and pivot tables) and will work primarily from a desk in our warehouse.
Responsibilities
Manage inventory purchasing to support manufacturing and project needs.
Maintain and update cost tracking with vendors.
Oversee inventory management and develop our Cycle Counting initiative.
Review incoming orders for accuracy and inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality standards.
Develop and manage spreadsheets for both quality control and inventory management.
Regularly meet with management to review operations in your areas of responsibility.
Essential Skills
Proficiency in purchasing, inventory management, and quality control.
Excellent skills in working with spreadsheets, including VLOOKUPs and pivot tables.
Strong attention to detail in all aspects of the job.
Solid written and verbal communication skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Proficiency in data entry and computer skills.
Experience in supply chain management.
Work Environment
The position involves sitting at a desk in the back of a clean warehouse, alongside approximately seven other team members, including the order processing and customer service team. The work hours are from 8 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday. The company offers a fast-paced and dynamic environment with some flexibility for remote work occasionally, such as for doctor appointments or family emergencies. Located centrally in Jefferson Park, the workplace offers convenient access to the freeway.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $31.25 - $33.17/hr.
