Universal Health Services Psychiatric Advanced Practice Nurse (PMHNP) - Offsite PHP in CHICAGO, Illinois

Responsibilities

Hartgrove Behavioral Health System is seeking a Psychiatric Advanced Practice Nurse (PMHNP) for the Offsite Partial Hospitalization Program.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for providing comprehensive, direct services to adolescent, and child psychiatric patients (ages ranging 3 years and up) and their families including assessment of psychiatric functioning and pharmacological interventions in partial hospital setting. Responsible for providing psycho-diagnostic interviews to children and adolescents, including their families. Seeks appropriate supervision and consultation with collaborating physicians to review cases and treatment. Oriented and educated in gender, cultural differences, and age appropriate care for the assigned department.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

Education: Master's Degreen in Nursing; Graduate from an accredited Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner program

Experience: One-year experience working within the mental health field

Licensure/Certification: IL Nurse Practitioner License; PMHNP

QUALIFICATIONS DESIRED:

Experience: 3+ years of experience working within an inpatient psychiatric hospital with children, adolescents and adults as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

-Perform psychiatric and pharmacological management evaluations on patients

-Write orders/scripts for treatment and medications
