Title: Production Associate

Location: 8600 W Catalpa Ave Suite 703 Chicago, IL 60656 (On-Site)

Duration: 06 months contract

Pay Range $12 to $15/hr.

Shift Timings: two shift options available 6 am to 2 pm or 7 am to 3 pm.

We are looking for a “Production Associate” to join one of our Fortune 500 clients.

Job Summary

The Production Associate will play a vital role in our Stereo operations, assisting in the production and assembly of our products. This role requires attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. The Production Associate will work closely with other team members to ensure that production targets are met while upholding our quality standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the manufacturing and assembly processes for all product lines distributed by Stereo Optical, ensuring that sufficient inventory levels of finished Stereo Optical products are maintained to meet sales requirements.

  • Demonstrate proficiency in executing all tasks involved in constructing Vision Screener machines from scratch, encompassing activities such as crimping, soldering, screw installation, wiring, and riveting panels using handheld rivet guns. Mastery of electrical wiring and connectivity is essential, along with implementing quality control measures to guarantee the proper functionality of vision screening devices upon completion. Additionally, utilize compressed air lines and manual presses for bushing insertion in certain sub-assemblies produced on-site.

  • Aid in the production of vectograms and Stereo slide packages, including the upkeep and testing of chemical bath concentrations used for image transfer onto films. Operations may necessitate working in a dark room environment for film development processes. Raw materials must be accurately cut and assembled to create customized slides, with sequencing tailored by model number to ensure the production of personalized vision screener units.

  • Contribute to production flows to ensure the timely manufacturing of various Stereo Optical products to meet market demands.

  • Uphold a clean and well-maintained work environment, adhering to established maintenance and cleaning schedules.

  • Evaluate raw materials and inventory levels, promptly notifying supervisors when inventory is running low.

  • Follow safety protocols and adhere to company policies and procedures.

  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.

Education & Experience:

  • Education and/or Experience: A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent is required.

  • Previous experience in manufacturing or production preferred.

  • Ability to read and interpret work instructions and schematics.

  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks and responsibilities.

  • Physical ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy objects, and perform repetitive tasks.

Physical Demands

  • The physical demands outlined below are indicative of those necessary for successful performance in this role. While carrying out job responsibilities, the employee will regularly need to sit or stand for extended periods.

  • Additionally, there may be instances where the employee is required to lift equipment weighing approximately 25 pounds.

  • Tasks often involve repetition and manipulation of very small parts, underscoring the importance of excellent hand-eye coordination and the ability to maintain focus on the task at hand.
