The Producer, CGI is accountable for the organization and management of CGI asset modeling from merchandise definition to deployment in applications that support our Design Services (3D Room Planner), eCommerce Augmented Reality (AR) and other interactive 3D initiatives. The Producer acts as the central point of contact for all participating internal and external vendor teams. Primarily, the Producer is responsible for maintaining a budget and executing plans for 3D modeling, maintaining lists of all active and new 3D assets, and coordinating 3D vendor assignments. In order to make sure accuracy of 3D modeling is maintained at a high level, the Producer also maintains a high knowledge of our seasonal products and provides quality and accuracy checks, partnering with merchandising, CGI Art Directors and CGI Artists.
Track and manage CGI modeling budget for WebGL-based assets.
Oversee upfront planning for CGI assets (3d models and textures) for Crate and Barrel, Crate and Kids and CB2 eCommerce and Design Services.
Establish and execute on 3D modeling timelines and schedules.
Create, manage and maintain spreadsheets used to track CGI assets, vendor assignments (work orders) and quality assurance (QA) approval.
Manage complete asset list of existing and needed CGI models and textures.
Create 3D modeling work orders and assignments for internal and external CGI artists.
Provide support information (reference photography, dimensions, and physical texture swatches) to produce accurate 3D representations of our products.
Responsible for management of 3D modeling vendors and budgets.
Create and manage bi-weekly reports that inform CGI stakeholder teams of seasonal modeling status.
Act as the liaison between internal merchandising, store operations/Central Design Services (CDST), CGI Artists and external 3D modeling teams.
Attend and collaborate in Merchandising meetings to cultivate a strong understanding of seasonal product assortment to determine CGI assets needed to satisfy 3D room planning merchandising direction.
Collaborate with internal CGI Senior Artists and CGI Artists to cultivate 3D vendor talent.
Establish, research, and implement best in class operating standards for 3D modeling.
3+ years experience with Industry knowledge of 3D modeling production practices and studio operations
Bachelor’s degree in related field a plus
Experience collaborating directly with 3D modeling artists
Past experience with negotiation and management of vendor relationships
Prior knowledge of Crate and Barrel, Crate and Kids and CB2 products and seasonal product assortments
Ability to skillfully utilize Google Platform (Google Sheets, Google Docs, Google Slides), Basecamp, Microsoft Office Suite, AS400 and Virtual Ticket systems
3D modeling industry production knowledge
Ability to direct the execution of 3D modeling with fiscal and creative accountability
Excellent communication skills, good reading and written language skills (English), basic math, strong organizational skills to manage input from cross functional teams
