Key Responsibilities:

This role is responsible for oversight of vendor catering operations, vendor management, food safety and food production facility development for all UA locations, domestic and international. This role is responsible for adhering to FSMA compliance, and ensuring our vendors meet food safety requirements through regular audits. This role manages and develops positive relationships with catering suppliers and crafts strategic vision of catering operations in partnership with catering suppliers and broader CSI and catering organizations. This role ensures accuracy of service delivery to all clients and close partners with suppliers on development of new state of the art catering operations facility.

Safety and Regulatory

  • Responsible for creating a safety-based culture and is continuously focused on vendor's safety performance

  • Oversee the supplier verification and 3rd party hygiene audits ensuring vendors operating policy and procedures, adhere to food safety compliance and regulatory compliance (FDA/TSA/USDA/OSHA)

  • Oversee security management

  • Safety and Regulatory

Employee Relations

  • Responsible for creating a healthy culture and employee-focused organization

  • Leads all people initiatives and responsible for employee satisfaction

  • Coordinates with Human Resources on HR strategy, initiatives, and projects

Change Management

  • Serves as a change agent to implement process, technology, and policy changes throughout the catering unit

  • Drives change management to achieve people and business results

  • Creates a culture of innovation to improve operations

Strategic Leadership

  • Provides leadership, vision and strategy in partnership with catering suppliers

  • Responsible for overall Operational, Safety and Financial targets are met including delay performance, customer satisfaction, employee safety and productivity

  • Ensures all Regulatory standards met or exceeded

  • Drives and delivers strong employee satisfaction

Qualifications

What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):

  • Bachelor's degree

  • 15+ years of relevant experience

  • 5+ years in progressive leadership positions

  • Continuous Improvement experience

  • Change management experience

  • Expertise in food production and food manufacturing processes, operations, technologies, and regulatory requirements

  • Supply chain, inventory, and logistics management

  • Strong operations and people leadership skills

  • Financial acumen

  • Ability to effectively work with all levels of the organization, employees and outside suppliers

  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills

  • Strong analytical capability

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship

  • Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification

  • Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position

What will help you propel from the pack (Preferred Qualifications):

  • MBA

  • 10+ years of experience with food production, food manufacturing, food service operations, or airline catering

  • Proven track record or prior experience with leading or playing a key leadership role in a large company, e.g., Fortune 100
