Cook County Electronics Recycling Service company seeks one full-time In-House Counsel to work at its office in Chicago, Illinois. Candidate must have J.D. degree and 24 months of Attorney or In-House Counsel experience. Candidate must have 24 months of experience using MS Office (including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint) and legal research tools (including Westlaw and Lexis). Candidate must be admitted to the Illinois Bar.
Candidate duties will include:
- Review agreements as part of contract negotiation process.
- Prepare responses for legal claims including labor matters.
- Review 3rd party service agreements and contracts as applicable including sub-contractor or supplier agreements.
- Advise management on requirements related to regulation compliance, liability.
- Oversee documentation and compliance with related and outside parties.
- Manage all litigation matters related to the company in coordination with outside counsel.
- Participate in executive and management team initiatives and programs.
