Job Title: CNC Machinist
Job Description
Operate and set up Swiss-style CNC lathes and machines to produce precision parts. Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and specifications. Select appropriate tools, inserts, and machine parameters to optimize machining efficiency and part quality. Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on Swiss machines. Collaborate with engineering and quality assurance teams to refine machining processes and improve product quality. Conduct in-process inspections and quality checks to ensure parts meet specified tolerances and standards. Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Responsibilities
Operate and set up Swiss-style CNC lathes and machines to produce precision parts.

Essential Skills
Experience with CNC machines and G-code.
Proficiency in Swiss Machining.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications.
Experience with stainless steel machining.
Familiarity with changeovers and calipers.
1-3 years of manual machining experience.
Blueprint experience.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with CNC operations is a plus.

Work Environment
1st shift: Monday to Thursday, 5:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with some overtime on Fridays averaging 45 hours a week. The machining team consists of about 26 people with staggered shift times. The dress code includes jeans and a work t-shirt.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chicago, Illinois.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
