VCA Animal Care Center of Chicago located on the corner of Washington Blvd. and Elizabeth St. in Chicago, Illinois is seeking an Associate Veterinarian to complement our talented team.
We are offering a signing bonus to an experienced doctor. $25k signing bonus.

We are a general practice hospital where a majority of our patients are dogs and cats. One of our doctors will also see small mammals and other exotic patients and she would love the chance to work with another colleague on these special creatures. We have a relationship with an outside, board-certified cardiologist and therefore, we can offer our clients/patients an evaluation with a cardiologist, including echocardiograms and other cardiology services. This is done at our hospital and without waiting for months such as at a specialty hospital. Our clinic is moving towards practicing hands-free radiology. We will also begin offering our clients/patients full abdominal ultrasonography in summer 2023. Many of our doctors and staff aim to practice in a Fear Free manner and are even Fear Free certified, and we would love to one day become a Fear Free certified practice.
We are looking for an associate veterinarian to fill a full-time position in our clinic. Schedule is typically 4 days per week, Monday through Saturday, no on-call hours, and Friday night and Saturday shifts are rotated among all doctors to encourage work-life balance. Shift scheduling in general is flexible and not set.
We are located in the vibrant and fast-growing West Loop neighborhood surrounded by diverse restaurants, shopping, coffee shops, and nightlife. Within a 10 minute walk are two train stations for Chicago’s CTA subway system and many bus route options. The neighborhood around VCA Animal Care Center is a combination of businesses, and condo, high-rise, and loft residences. There are also a couple beautiful parks nearby.
