Duties and Responsibilities

Assist the head coach in day-to-day operations and coaching of a Division I intercollegiate program that includes but is not limited to the following:

  • Experience and knowledge of working with and developing post players.

  • Ability to assist Head Coach with defensive strategies.

  • Assist in scheduling games as directed by Head Coach.

  • Ability to identify and recruit quality student-athletes on a national and regional level.

  • Prepares and presents scouting reports.

  • Ability to generate ideas and strategies to help promote the Women’s Basketball Program.

  • Assist in planning and organizing practices.

  • Assists with summer camps.

  • Performs other duties as required.

    Minimum Education and/or Work Experience

Bachelor’s degree in related field and two-four years of related coaching experience at collegiate level.

Qualifications

  • Master’s preferred and collegiate experience preferred.

  • Ability to draw upon coaching/playing experience and contribute to technical training as well as in match tactical adjustment.

  • Strong communication and organizational skills.

  • Working knowledge of compliance with NCAA and conference rules and regulations.

  • May include knowledge base in sport specific platforms/software.

  • Candidates should have experience working in a culturally diverse environment and experience with college basketball coaching and recruiting.

  • Understanding of and compliance with NCAA rules and regulations.

  • Commitment to the mission of Jesuit higher education.
