What you'll be doing

As a member of the Commercial Real Estate team, you’ll strive to build client-focused relationships that help develop long-term partnerships.

An a Asset Manager, you’ll actively manage the assigned loan portfolio given to you, including ongoing analysis of projects to ensure business plans are being executed in line with expectations. You’ll also complete renewals and modifications for credit approval, interact with other team members (Group Portfolio Manager, Market Lead and Credit) to achieve ultimate approval for renewals and modifications to existing business, as well as monitor quarterly loan covenants. This position may require you to conduct annual site visits and work to gain market expertise in locations where the bank has exposure. This is a hybrid position that requires you be in office 3 days a week.

How you'll succeed

Utilizing Internal Partnerships - Identify product/service opportunities for other business units and participate in development of creative solutions to client needs. This includes coordinating presentations, and bringing in partners when appropriate.

Mitigating Risk - Recommend a risk rating for loans (including re-rating as prescribed in standards and guidelines and as necessary) predicated on the guidance in the applicable risk rating framework, including identification of emerging loan problems. Serve as resource for Group Portfolio Manager in preparation for portfolio review meetings and actively communicate knowledge of the risk points within portfolio. Also support Risk Rating SOX control validation and escalate potential asset quality outside of risk appetite to Independent Risk Management.

Networking - Participate in industry events to maintain current market knowledge and client relationships.
