Reports to: Cruise Director and/ or 1-striped Officer

Responsibilities :

  • Responsible for overall administrative support for Cruise Director, their Direct Reports and Entertainment department in general.

  • Review guest satisfaction comment forms, capturing and distributing Guest comments to appropriate managers, averaging 450-500 per cruise.

  • Support Entertainment department in processing requests relating to crew schedules, contract changes, transfer requests, travel requests, etc.

  • Partner with shore side in the preparation, distribution, processing, and collection of relevant crew documentation.

  • Organize and schedule meetings for the Cruise Director and the Entertainment department; update and maintain calendars as directed.

  • Prepare meeting paperwork and meeting minutes for the Cruise Director.

  • Responsible for capturing appropriate information and sending daily reports, show reports and voyage reports.

  • Maintain appropriate departmental and/or Crew files.

  • Work on any special projects as assigned by the Cruise Director.

  • Assist Cruise Director and Entertainment managers with projects as requested.

  • Custodian of department Location Operating Guide (LOG).

  • Assist with sourcing and ordering of departmental supplies.

  • Assist with distribution of department mail.

  • Assist with VIP guests and creating ‘magical moments/ special requests’ for Guests.

  • Additional responsibilities would include but is not limited to business card verifications and assisting with capturing appropriate information to create voyage reports.

  • Required to represent the department professionally by demonstrating Disney Cruise Line's core values, keys service excellence and cultural pillars.

  • Comply with all company set policies and procedures, along with all maritime and ship rules, regulations and procedures

Basic Qualifications :

  • Minimum of 2 years professional work experience in an admin role

  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) in English

  • Strong organizational skills

  • Ability to maintain confidential information

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office including but not limited to Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams and Smart Sheets.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced multi-tasked environment, handling multiple projects simultaneously

  • Previous Disney experience and / or previous ship experience preferred

  • Be at least 21 years of age

  • Be able to speak, read and write fluent English

  • Be able to work a seven-day, 70-84 hour week with limited time off

  • Be able to adhere to Disney Cruise Line appearance guidelines

  • Enjoy working in a high-volume, fast-paced, guest-service oriented environment

  • Be flexible with your work schedule, job duties and work locations

  • Appreciate diversity among guests and crew

Additional Information :

This is a SHIPBOARD role.

Applicants must:

  • Be genuinely interested in a career at sea and willing to live and work onboard a Disney Cruise Line vessel

  • Be committed to the position you are applying for at least 2-3 contracts before a transfer or promotion

  • Be willing to follow and perform safety role, emergency duties and/or associated responsibilities as specified in the ship Assembly Plan

  • Be willing and able to uphold the general safety management responsibilities specified in the Safety Management System in areas and operations under their control

  • Be willing to follow and embrace United States Public Health requirements and guidelines as well as Environmentality requirements and Company practices

  • Be willing to share a cabin with other crew members and appreciative of working and living in a multi-cultural environment

  • Be comfortable living in a confined space with strict rules and regulations

  • Adhere to a structured lifestyle, personally and professionally

Your Responsibilities:

  • Have a valid passport and C1/D Seaman's visa (DCL will provide you with documents to obtain this)

  • Complete a pre-employment medical

  • Obtain a criminal background check

  • Bring approved work shoes
