Curtiss-Wright Corporation Project Scheduler in Cheswick, Pennsylvania

We are looking for a Project Scheduler to join our Pittsburgh (Cheswick) location.

Your Responsibilities:

Curtiss-Wright EMD is searching for a Project Scheduler to support its Commercial Business Segment. This position will perform the necessary Project Control activities to support their assigned projects, which include but are not limited to: Project set-up activities in Oracle and Primavera; Assist Project Managers with development of a Project Work Plan; Develop and review project schedules, Work Breakdown Structures, cost budgets and revenue plans; Perform schedule and budget analysis to provide potential risks and opportunities; Person in this role should have the ability and experience to perform these activities with some direction on inputs required from Manager or Project Manager.

Your Challenge:

  • Create and maintain project schedules depicting project pre-requisite activities, engineering activities, manufacturing operations, purchasing activities, and customer commitments in support of on-time delivery. Analyze schedules to develop recommended action plans and priorities to drive schedule success.

  • Create and maintain cost budgets for the assigned engineering and/or manufacturing projects. This includes performance of Earned Value (EV) analysis as required. Analyze budgets to identify risks and opportunities to meeting financial objectives.

  • Perform Project Set-up Activities, maintain project information and work with other project team members to ensure project data structures are accurate and up to date.

  • Support the Sales and Operations Planning process. Update project completion estimates for active projects. Create and manage cost and revenue estimates for forecasted projects.

  • Support the Project Manager through all phases of a project beginning with quoting and creation of the Project Work Plan, through execution and close-out. Assist with team meetings, customer meetings, action plans and readiness reviews.

What you Bring:

  • BS Degree (or equivalent) in relevant field from accredited institution.

  • Must be a US citizen and be able to qualify for a U.S. Government security clearance

  • Generally requires three to seven years of prior relevant experience

  • Understanding of general business principles

  • Some amount of experience working in a team environment

  • Some exposure to manufacturing

  • Experience with Oracle or other similar ERP system

  • Ability to review data and analyze problems

  • Strong oral and written communication skills with knowledge of MS Office & MS Project

  • Ability to work as part of a team & with other functional groups
