Curtiss-Wright Corporation Corrective Action Program Specialist (SIGN ON BONUS AND/OR RELOCATION FOR SELECT CANDIDATES!) in Cheswick, Pennsylvania

We are looking for a Corrective Action Program Specialist to join our Pittsburgh (Cheswick) location. Sign on Bonus and /or Relocation available for select candidates!

Your Responsibilities:

The Corrective Action Program Specialist manages the day-to-day operations of EMD’s Corrective Action Program in support of EMD’s Quality Program, which fulfills the requirements of the ASME Code, Section III, Divisions 1 and 5, NQA-1, 10CFR50 Appendix B, 10CFR21, and ISO-9001:2015. This specialist facilitates root cause analysis and serves as EMD’s lead cause analyst for conditions adverse to quality. The successful candidate will categorize and trend data and provide guidance on the effectiveness of corrective actions.

Your Challenge:

  • Manage EMD’s Corrective Action Program and associated database

  • Track progress of root cause analyses and corrective actions to ensure timely completion

  • Monitor, track, and trend corrective action data for quality performance improvement

  • Manage, review, document, and participate in effectiveness reviews of completed corrective action plans

  • Facilitate Corrective Action Review Board meetings with senior management team

  • Provide leadership in root cause analysis (RCA) investigations

  • Work with department managers and delegates in identifying areas of improvement

  • Teach and coach project team members in the use of RCA tools, techniques, and nuclear safety culture

  • Develop and maintain weekly status reports

  • Support development, maintenance, and implementation of Corrective Action Program (CAP) procedures

  • Direct CAP software improvement initiatives

  • Support customer meetings on matters relating to quality

  • Maintain proficiency in root cause analysis by:

  • Performing root-cause analysis

  • Attending training programs specifically related to root-cause analysis

  • Demonstrating management of the Corrective Action Program and RCA processes to customers, auditors, and regulators

  • Maintaining and applying best practices associated with corrective action programs

  • Ensuring the quality and completeness of corrective action plans and objective evidence supporting completion

  • Demonstrating the management of the RCA process

What you Bring:

  • Must be sole US citizen and be able to obtain and maintain DOD security clearance

  • Undergraduate degree in a technical discipline, quality assurance field, Industrial Engineering or equivalent industry or work experience

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, verbal and written presentation skills

  • Ability to lead teams and manage multiple complex projects

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Action-oriented

  • Knowledge and experience in root-cause analysis would be a plus
