Job Title: Survey CAD Technician

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Survey CAD Technician with 3-6+ years in a technician role. This position involves both on-site surveys to plot points and conduct surveys as needed, as well as an office drafting role, which makes up approximately 80% of the job. Our work environment is small and family-oriented, allowing team members to wear many hats and assist as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct on-site surveys to plot points and gather data.

  • Draft and design using AutoCAD, incorporating survey points to produce active surfaces.

  • Interpret and analyze deeds and civil drawings, including boundary analysis and problem-solving.

  • Understand and evaluate the relationship between different deeds.

  • Check elevations and connect with the survey team to ensure accuracy.

  • Differentiate between topographical and boundary data using Carlson software.

Essential Skills

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD.

  • Ability to read and plot deeds and understand civil drawings.

  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

  • Experience in boundary analysis.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Surveying or civil degree is a plus but not required.

  • LST Certification, level 2 or higher, with training support available.

Work Environment

Our office hours are from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday. We foster a team environment and offer flexibility for personal matters, as long as work is completed. Enjoy summer hours with half days on Fridays.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $33.70 - $43.27/hr.
