Job Title: Electronics Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Electronics Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for repairing electronic equipment, performing basic testing, and board repair. This role requires the ability to work from detailed instructions while adhering to strict quality assurance guidelines. Additional responsibilities include the assembly of electrical devices, use of hand and power tools, testing electrical devices, and performing administrative and reporting tasks as assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Repair electronic equipment, perform basic testing, and board repair.

  • Work from detailed instructions and conform to strict quality assurance guidelines.

  • Assemble electrical devices using hand and power tools.

  • Test electrical devices to ensure proper functionality.

  • Complete administrative and reporting tasks as assigned.

  • Perform manual rework tasks as needed.

  • Undertake other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

  • Associate Degree in Electronics (preferred)

  • 3-5 years of technician experience in an electronics manufacturing environment

  • Certification in soldering (preferred)

  • Knowledge of Windows XP and Windows 7

  • Understanding of digital and analog electronic circuitry

  • Working knowledge of IPC workmanship and soldering standards

  • Proficiency with Multimeters, Oscilloscope, Crimping, and Power Supplies

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

  • Ability to read and comprehend technical documentation

  • Excellent organizational skills, problem-solving techniques, and accuracy

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with electronics, schematics, mechanical assembly, wiring, blueprint reading, and electronics testing

  • Knowledge in circuit board repair

Work Environment

This position offers a climate-controlled environment with shifts from 7:15 am to 3:45 pm.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chesapeake, Virginia.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
