Job Title: Industrial Electrician

Job Description

We are hiring two experienced Industrial Electricians to work 4 days on, 4 days off during the night shift from 6PM to 6AM. Candidates must be open to working any day of the week as the days will rotate. The ideal candidate will possess strong electrical skills and experience, particularly in troubleshooting electrical and hydraulic systems. This role requires diagnosing and repairing problems, not just switching out parts. Broad industrial maintenance experience is essential, covering areas such as Electrical/PLC, Robotics, Mechanical, Hydraulics/Pneumatics, Welding, Machining, and Conveyor systems. Responsibilities include troubleshooting, repairing, inspecting, modifying, rebuilding, and maintaining plant equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, repair, inspect, modify, rebuild, and maintain plant equipment.

  • Maintain and repair heavy industrial machinery, including plant equipment, piping systems, fluid power systems, cutting, burning, and all types of welding.

  • Troubleshoot aluminum extrusion presses and auxiliary equipment, including PLCs, hydraulics, pneumatics, and motors.

  • Read and understand drawings, blueprints, schematics, code requirements, service manuals, and manufacturers' specifications.

  • Promote, support, and enforce ISO 9001 elements as they apply to the maintenance department.

  • Contribute to safety and environmental programs to meet regulatory requirements.

  • Perform maintenance safety program audits (Lockout/Tag out, Confined Space, Fall Protection, PPE, mobile equipment, etc.).

  • Knowledge of electrical/electronic circuits, PLCs, wire installation/termination, combustion, power distribution, electronics process control computers, conduit threading, schematics, bending and installation, AC and DC drives, and welding.

  • Perform preventive maintenance on equipment and make repairs or improvements as needed.

  • Work with Purchasing, Maintenance, Engineering, and Physical Distribution to maintain services for the plant.

  • Assist in maintaining an accurate electronic backlog of all Work Requests and Work Orders in cooperation with maintenance planners.

Essential Skills

  • 4+ years of experience as a maintenance technician maintaining and repairing heavy industrial machinery.

  • Extensive electrical knowledge.

  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair industrial machinery and equipment.

  • Knowledge of electrical/electronic circuits, PLCs, wire installation/termination, combustion, power distribution, electronics process control computers, conduit threading, schematics, bending and installation, AC and DC drives, and welding.

  • Ability to read and understand drawings, blueprints, schematics, code requirements, service manuals, and manufacturers' specifications.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 elements and understanding of their applicability to the department.

  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook).

  • Experience in Lean Manufacturing concepts and OSHA requirements (preferred).

Work Environment

This position is for the night shift from 6PM to 6AM, with a rotating schedule requiring availability to work any day of the week. The work environment is a non-climate controlled, industrial manufacturing setting. You will report directly to the Maintenance Manager.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $62400.00 - $83200.00/yr.
