Description
We are on the lookout for an entry-level Accountant to join our team in the financial services industry located in Cherry Hill, New Jersey. This role involves assisting with auditing files, processing reconciliations, and using skills such as Microsoft Excel and Bank Reconciliations. This role offers a short-term contract employment opportunity.
Responsibilities:
• Assist in auditing files to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Process reconciliations in a timely and accurate manner
• Utilize Microsoft Excel to manage and analyze data
• Work closely with the team to ensure all financial data is accurate
• Use Bank Reconciliations to balance financial records
• Adhere to all company and industry-specific regulations and guidelines
• Collaborate with multiple departments to streamline financial processes
• Continuously update knowledge and skills related to accounting processes and procedures
• Contribute to financial meetings with other team members to discuss strategies and updates
• Handle sensitive financial information with confidentiality and discretion.
Requirements
• Possess a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
• 1+ year of relevant experience in the Financial Services industry
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
• Experience in Bank Reconciliations and other financial processes
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledge of financial regulations and standards
• Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines
