Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Scrum Master/Database Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both Agile Scrum practices and database development. This role requires a unique blend of leadership, technical expertise, and communication skills to lead Agile teams and develop, maintain, and optimize our database systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Scrum Master Responsibilities:
  • Lead and facilitate Agile/Scrum ceremonies including daily standups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.

  • Coach and mentor Agile team members in Agile best practices and principles.

  • Work closely with Product Owners to ensure backlog items are prioritized, clear, and ready for development.

  • Identify and remove impediments to team progress, ensuring a smooth workflow.

  • Foster a collaborative and productive team environment, promoting continuous improvement.

  • Track and report on team metrics and performance, driving accountability and transparency.

  • Collaborate with Internal Manager and Business Stakeholders as a Scrum Masters and Agile coaches to improve organizational agility.

    1. Database Development Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and maintain complex database systems ensuring data integrity, performance, and scalability.

  • Write and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and database scripts.

  • Develop and implement data models, ensuring alignment with business requirements and best practices.

  • Work with application developers to integrate databases with applications, ensuring seamless data flow and functionality.

  • Stay UpToDate with the latest database technologies, tools, and practices.

    EDUCATION:

  • Preferred undergraduate degree in computer science, information systems or related field and/or equivalent work experience.

    EXPERIENCE:

  • 6 - 8 years of experience in database development, with a strong focus on SQL Server .

  • 3+ years of experience as a Scrum Master in an Agile environment, preferably in software development or IT projects.

  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or similar Agile certification is highly desirable.

  • Proficient in writing and optimizing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions.

  • Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum principles, with a proven track record of leading successful Agile teams.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on data integrity, performance, and scalability.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross functional teams.

    Technical Skills:

  • MSSQL databases

  • Good to have cloud based database solutions (e.g., AWS RDS, Azure SQL).

  • Ability to work through complex issues and identify required interventions.

  • General understanding of business strategies.

  • Proven ability for effective problem analysis and problem resolution at both strategic and functional level.

  • Person must have leadership ability, excellent interpersonal skills, consulting skills and the proven ability to develop relationships and influence all levels within the organization and external to the organization with developers, and business users.

  • Demonstrated presentation, oral and written communication skills.
