Supervises Building Maintenance Supervisors and delegates all grounds keeping, snow plowing and sanding services, painting, cleaning, small carpentry projects, equipment maintenance and repair, road maintenance, etc. The maintenance foreman schedules all overtime assignments to the Building Maintenance Supervisors. This position oversees observation tours at consolidated sites and determine need for maintenance or repairs. Oversee contractors at various sites. Assign and review work of all subordinates. Oversees and/or performs all carpentry projects. Determine the need for and arrange for the acquisition of supplies and equipment. Performs related duties as required. The maintenance foreman manages the CAMIS work order system and delegates CAMIS entries to appropriate building maintenance supervisor. This position assists with recording daily “rounds” (status of the Building Equipment), of various mechanical and electrical equipment throughout the facility and Data Centers, on an as-need basis. The maintenance foreman is responsible for inventory management, purchasing and ordering of tools, maintenance supplies, snow removal equipment/supplies, uniforms, etc. This is an Emergency Personnel position; the incumbent is expected to report to duty when the Governor states that only Emergency Personnel are to report to their jobs during certain Governor-declared emergencies. _Duties for the Institutional Maintenance Foreman include:_ * __Assign and supervise observation tours at consolidated sites. Review reports and determine the need for maintenance or repair. Oversee security contractors to ensure conformance with contractual obligations. * Supervise BMSII for all equipment maintenance and repair for all assigned buildings. * Supervise all grounds keeping, including grass cutting, trimming shrubs and trees, landscaping, etc. * Supervise snow plowing and sanding services to ensure that all sites are accessible and safe. * Plan, lay out, assign, and supervise minor construction and/or maintenance projects such as carpentry, painting, cleaning, small roof jobs, road maintenance, etc. Determine materials, equipment, and staff necessary to accomplish jobs. Inspect completed work for conformance with established standards. * Maintain filter bed areas by ensuring passable roadways, cleaning beds, and changing sand. * Supervise all equipment and repair. * Oversee all carpentry projects. This includes conferring with supervisor and tenants to determine scope of work and project specifications. Schedules and implements renovations for all large or small repairs as well as maintenance activities at assigned facilities. * Oversee retrieval, storage, and delivery of surplus furnishings and equipment. * Manage CAMIS work orders and delegate to appropriate staff. * Assists with Construction project requests. * Assists with annual uniform orders for maintenance team. * Responsible for inventory management. * Assigns work to DOC crews. * Hold team meetings daily. * Works closely with Assistant Facility Manager and provides input to annual employee reviews, employee disciplinary actions, purchasing, scheduling, etc. * Performs other related duties as required and assigned by the Facility Manager and Assist Facility Managers. _License and or Certification Requirements_ The maintenance foreman must hold hoisting license for snow removal equipment. _Emergency Designation_ This position has been deemed as an emergency personnel position. During a declared State of emergency and in non-Emergency situations/adverse weather, it will be necessary to report to work. Please Note:This is a full-time (40hrs/week) third shift.
