Kayem Foods, Inc. HR Generalist - Bilingual (Spanish) in Chelsea, Massachusetts
SUMMARY: The Human Resources Generalist performs at a professional level and works closely with senior HR management in supporting the organization’s strategic initiatives. This member carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: Employment and Onboarding, Team member Relations and performance, Leave Management, HRIS (UKG) Maintenance and Administration, Project management, Special events, Recruiting support and Offboarding. Works under the direction of the department Manager. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Confidentiality is required.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Works with hiring managers to develop detailed onboarding and performance development or improvement plans for individuals.
Counsels’ managers and supervisors on team member employment and performance matters, and policy interpretation
Assists Managers and team members to resolve employee relations matters. Conducts thorough and objective inquiries
Manages team member Leaves of absence
Conducts compensation research and participates in compensation planning and changes
Prepares and executes onboard and offboarding presentations, training, and plans. Conducts exit interviews
Responds to inquiries for information from Vendor partners for Benefits tracking, unemployment claims, employment verifications, surveys, etc
Creates and maintains reporting and tracks and analyzes metrics. Makes recommendations for improvements
Prepares team member records and documents including separation notices and related documentation
Provides recruiting support to Talent team
Drafts, translates (English/Spanish), and distributes companywide communications, training, and presentations
Administers transactions for HRIS administration and manual team member files. Works closely with payroll on pay and benefits transactions
Assists in legal and labor relations matters and special projects
Develops, Conducts, and participates in delivering training
Manages team member events
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Bi-lingual in English and Spanish is required
Proficient in Word, Excel, and PPT
