RN Weekend Warrior

Rate: $33.00 ($33.00 -$35.00 depending on experience)

Work 12 hour shifts both Saturday and Sunday and receive an additional 8 hours pay

Shift: Saturday and Sunday 7AM to 7:30PM

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with RN Supervisor to ensure best possible functions of assigned unit

  • Consults and coordinates with health care team members to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care plans.

  • Prepares and administers and records prescribed medications

  • Records patients’ medical information and vital signs.

  • Assesses the patients’ ability to do routine daily tasks.

  • Recognizes and manages geriatric syndromes common to older adults, including: cardiovascular, respiratory, gastrointestinal, urinary, hematological, musculoskeletal, endocrine, neurological, psychiatric/psychosocial, integumentary, sensory and pain problems.

  • Prepares equipment and aids physician during examination and treatment of patient.

  • Communicate with family members regarding patient

  • Records all care information concisely, accurately and completely, in a timely manner, in the appropriate format and on the appropriate forms.

  • Performs other position-related duties as assigned, depending on assignment setting.

Qualifications

  • Degree from an accredited school of nursing

  • Current and valid license as a Registered Nurse in the state of New York required

  • Minimum of 1-year RN experience required

  • Must have strong assessment skills as well as interpersonal skills

  • Education or experience in long term care or geriatric nursing is preferred

  • Must be flexible, punctual, professional, and reliable

  • Strong customer service skills and compassion
