Job Title: Shop Maintenance Technician
Job Description
We are seeking a Maintenance Tech for a good CNC machine shop about 15 minutes east of Chattanooga. The ideal candidate will possess mechanical and electrical knowledge and troubleshooting abilities and demonstrate the ability to learn CNC operation and maintenance. This position requires minimal overtime and offers an opportunity for growth. They are not looking for a master multi-craft maintenance tech. Just someone with good mechanical, electrical, and metal fabrication knowledge and experience.
Responsibilities
All kinds of maintenance operations in a CNC machine shop environment.
CNC and other metal fabrication machine maintenance - preventative and reactive.
Assisting with mechanical and technical adjustments for machine set-ups and product changeovers.
Troubleshooting and fixing breakdowns.
Perform electrical and mechanical troubleshooting and repairs.
Part repair and replacement.
Support pump maintenance and operations.
Facilities maintenance.
Ensure adherence to safety and quality standards.
Essential Skills
Experience with electrical and mechanical systems.
Ability to read and interpret schematics and blueprints.
Knowledge/experience with hydraulic systems.
Troubleshooting and replacing sensors.
Using electrical meters for troubleshooting purposes.
Lockout tagout procedures.
Metal fabrication and working with automated metal fabrication machines - CNC lathes, CNC mills, press brakes, laser cutters, plasma tables, etc.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
TCAT or similar degree/certificate or similar on-the-job experience.
CNC lathe and/or mill set-ups, changeovers, troubleshooting, and/or programming.
Electrical cabinet troubleshooting and maintenance.
Knowledge/experience with pneumatic systems.
PLC troubleshooting.
Familiarity with installation techniques.

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chattanooga, Tennessee.
Starting Pay: $20-$25/hr, depending on experience
Shift: 1st shift
Schedule: Monday-Friday and OT on Saturdays as needed
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
