Description

We are searching for an Insurance Follow-Up Specialist in Chattanooga, Tennessee. This role operates within the healthcare industry and is a contract employment opportunity. As an Insurance Follow-Up Specialist, you will manage tasks related to medical collections and insurance follow-up, with a focus on Medicare and Medicaid. You will also be involved in customer communications, primarily through phone, email, and messaging. CANDIDATES MUST BE LOCAL TO THE CHATTANOOGA AREA

Responsibilities:

• Handle medical collections, ensuring accuracy and timeliness

• Follow-up on insurance issues, resolving them efficiently

• Maintain regular communication with customers through phone, email, and messaging

• Process customer applications related to Medicare and Medicaid

• Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and transactions

• Resolve customer inquiries, providing quality service to ensure customer satisfaction

• Perform administrative tasks related to hospital and physician billing

• Participate in the appeal process, if necessary, to ensure the benefit functions are carried out effectively.

Requirements

• Demonstrable proficiency in accounting and/or healthcare software.

• Proven experience in healthcare claim administration and billing functions.

• Solid understanding of benefit functions.

• Ability to handle appeals professionally and effectively.

• Knowledge and experience in collection processes.

• Familiarity with healthcare, hospitals, and social assistance industry standards and practices.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• High level of professionalism and integrity.

• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.

• Must have a customer service-oriented approach.

• Good organizational and multitasking abilities.
