Job Title: Solar Safety Manager
Job Description
We are seeking a Safety Manager to oversee solar construction projects across Virginia. The ideal candidate will conduct daily safety briefings, coach and train staff on proper safety protocols, and support the lead construction manager with various tasks. A key aspect of this role is to foster a safety-first culture through coaching rather than strict enforcement. The candidate must be proficient in uploading reports and logs within Procore software.

Upload reports and logs within Procore software.
Essential Skills
Experience in safety management within a construction setting.
Proficiency in safety training and procedures.
Good people skills with a coaching mindset.
Procore software proficiency.
Knowledge in renewable energy, solar, and electrical construction.
OSHA 30 and OSHA certification.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
OSHA 500 certification -Preferably
EMS 385 certification- -Preferably
Minimum of 2 years of experience on Solar projects as a Site Safety professional
Work Environment
The role requires being on-site 5 days per week with working hours matching those of the subcontractors. The position is a contract role from April to the end of October, offering a per diem with GSA rates in Virginia equaling $178 per day. There may be circumstances where up to 5 hours of overtime are available, but this is not guaranteed.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $55.00/hr.
