Job Summary

Join Compass Group USA in a dynamic role as a Staff Accountant where you'll be at the heart of our financial operations, ensuring accurate calculations of Member incentives and managing complex incentive schedules. Dive into the thrill of reviewing contracts, coordinating timely payouts, and analyzing revenue data to uncover insights that drive our success. Responsibilities:

  • Perform Foodbuy LLC Member incentive calculations, fee calculations, splits review, and payables QC

  • Set up and maintain complex Member incentive schedules in accordance with the Member agreements

  • Review, analyze, and log new Member contracts and amendments. Align with the Onboarding, Account Managers, Member Experiences, and other teams to ensure timely and accurate payout of and accounting for the Member incentives

  • Process AP invoices, journal entries, and manual invoices requests

  • Perform routine and ad hoc research on the Foodbuy and Member revenue data and document findings

  • Reconcile assigned Balance Sheet general ledger accounts

  • Manage Foodbuy general inbox and ensure timely response to all inquiries

  • Provide excellent customer service to the internal and external clients through timely, comprehensive, and courteous communication

  • Review and challenge current processes to identify areas of improvement

  • Contribute to special projects as needed

Quali?cations:

  • Accounting experience - 1 year minimum

  • Experience with month-end close, including complex accruals and balance sheet reconciliations

  • Experience manipulating and analyzing large volumes of data

  • Knowledge of basic accounting principles

  • Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, sumifs, and match formulas)

  • Experience with SAP, Supply Chain, and Power BI preferred

  • Experience with a large company preferred (> $3 billion sales)

  • Detailed oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Proven collaborative skills, ability to drive results, and customer-service attitude

  • Proven ability to perform well under pressure and meet deadlines

  • CPA candidate is a plus
