Carrier Shipping Technician in Charlotte, North Carolina

Role Responsibilities:
Operate Mi-Jack, overhead crane, forklift or yard switcher to load units on trailers
Support with forklift operation as needed
Support Mi-Jack operation as ground support as needed, spot and shackle
Maintain an organized workspace, clean area and pick up debris
Role Purpose:
Support shipping operation as needed
Help coordinate truck traffic as needed for efficient loading
Other support activities as indicated by supervisor
Minimum Requirements:
Ability to perform physical activities such as bending, lifting, squatting
Ability to read, understand and follow work instructions
Ability to operate a forklift
Ability to read, understand and follow work instructions
Safety, customer and goal oriented
EDUCATION / CERTIFICATIONS:
Solid mechanical background required.
High School Diploma or GED required.
Ability to read procedural documents and safety materials.
Prior experience operating crane/hoist equipment is strongly preferred.
Prior experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment preferred.
