As a Pharmacy Technician, you will work primarily with Medicare and Medicaid patients, focusing on processing Prior Authorizations. Initially, your role will involve handling the intake of prior authorizations, setting them up in the system, and forwarding them to a review technician. There may also be opportunities to receive training on the review process.
Responsibilities
Handle the intake of MedPharma prior authorizations.
Set up Prior Authorizations in the system.
Send Prior Authorizations to review technicians.
Possibility of training on the review process.
Essential Skills
Pharmacy technician certification
National Pharm Tech Certification Preferred
Data entry skills
Experience with Prior Authorization
Customer service skills
Proficiency in computer skills
Ability to work remotely and independently
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in managed care
Pharmacy experience
Ability to handle phone calls, control conversations, and redirect as needed
Customer service experience over the phone
CPht certification
Work Environment
This position is 100% remote, requiring work in a closed-door setting with limited distractions to maintain HIPAA compliance. A strong WIFI connection is essential. The work schedule includes rotating holidays with other team members, and lunch breaks range from 30 minutes to one hour. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
