The opportunity

We are looking for an exceptional individual to join our global FSO Advisory, System Integration (SI) Oracle team. Individuals will work directly with EY leadership and clients to integrate Oracle solutions that transform the way they do business. Individuals, like you, will work to identify business requirements and identify solutions that align with Oracle technologies supporting the finance organizations of our clients.

As a Senior Manager in Technology Analysis, you will be at the forefront of evaluating and understanding complex business models, processes, and operations. Your expertise will be pivotal in translating business requirements into technical specifications for our technical teams to develop functional solutions that drive our technology delivery success.

Your key responsibilities

In this role, you will manage and oversee complex processes and projects, ensuring quality and managing risk. You will be accountable for budget management, delivery, and performance of projects aimed at meeting specific objectives. Additionally, you will foster and manage client relationships, contributing to business growth through revenue generation and commercial relationship management. You will also engage in:

  • Thought leadership, providing expert insights and tackling complex problems with best practice knowledge.

  • Identify sales and new opportunities

  • Participate in client engagements from planning to execution and closure

  • Manage engagement economics with a focus on chargeability and revenue generation

  • Lead the translation of business requirements into technical specifications

  • Evaluate and ensure alignment of technology solutions with business objectives

  • Drive continuous improvement and innovation in processes and solutions

Skills and attributes for success

  • Demonstrate in-depth technical capabilities and possess strong business acumen. Demonstrate ability to assimilate to new knowledge.

  • Lead and deliver quality Oracle projects or workstreams.

  • Consistently deliver quality client services. Monitor progress, manage risk and ensure key stakeholders are kept informed about progress and expected outcomes.

  • Establish relationships with client personnel at appropriate levels

  • Select appropriate methods and techniques to achieve results

  • Leading large Finance Transformation involving Financial Close, General Ledger, Accounts Payables, Accounts Receivables, Fixed Assets, Cash management, Accounting Hub

  • Streamline Financial Accounting and Reporting processes and identify areas for improvement

  • Recommend policy changes and establish procedures

  • Exercise significant latitude in setting objectives and determining approaches to assignments

To qualify for the role, you must have

  • A Bachelor's degree

  • At least 7 years of relevant experience working with system implementation execution, system implementation design, and/or lean / six-sigma operational improvement projects.

  • Experience with at least three full cycle implementation of core financials module

  • Design and implementation experience with Oracle Cloud Financials (GL, AR, AP, CM, and FA)

  • Strong written and verbal communication, presentation, client service and technical writing skills

  • Experience managing an Oracle project or workstream and project-based team members

  • Demonstrated expertise in managing large-scale projects and leading diverse teams

  • Knowledge of leading practices, benchmarking, peer company environments and prior advisory experience relevant to industry specific finance and technology functions

  • Ability and comfort level researching client inquiries and emerging issues, including regulations, industry practices, and new technologies

  • A willingness to travel to meet client needs; travel is estimated up to 80%

Ideally, you’ll also have

  • Post-graduate / Graduate degree in computer science, engineering, accounting, finance or a related field

  • Experience in one or more of the following areas:

  • Managing against an onshore/offshore model; definition of business and technical requirements; design of technology architecture; system selection and implementation support; cost optimization; business and IT process reengineering; program/project management and implementation planning (PMO)

  • Previous Project experiences in:

  • Finance transformation and accelerated close; sub-ledger/ledger design /redesign; chart of accounts design; enterprise architecture design; AR, AP, FA, CM process design; management reporting enhancement; business intelligence/decision support; traded products/front/back office package implementation; data warehousing/enterprise data design and management; enterprise application integration;regulatory and statutory Reporting strategy; financial planning, budgeting and forecasting; business/merger Integration, reconciliation redesign or improvement

  • We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $169,900 to $388,200. The base salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $203,900 to $441,300. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options.

  • Join us in our team-led and leader-enabled hybrid model. Our expectation is for most people in external, client serving roles to work together in person 40-60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year.
