Actalent Land Survey Technician in Charlotte, North Carolina

Job Description

A Survey Technician with expertise in construction computation is responsible for collecting, analyzing, and processing survey data to support construction and land development projects. This role involves drafting detailed survey drawings, performing complex calculations, and collaborating with various project stakeholders to ensure accuracy and efficiency.

Hard Skills

  • Data Collection and Analysis: Gather field data using surveying instruments, process and analyze data to create accurate maps and plans.

  • Drafting and Design: Use AutoCAD and Carlson software to draft detailed survey drawings, including boundary surveys, topographic surveys, and as-built drawings. Design and layout construction projects, ensuring precision and compliance with specifications.

  • Construction Computation: Perform calculations related to construction projects, such as volume computations, earthwork calculations, and site grading. Ensure that all computations are accurate and align with project requirements.

Soft Skills

  • Collaboration: Work closely with field crews to ensure data accuracy and project efficiency. Communicate with engineers, architects, and construction managers to provide necessary survey data and insights.
