Description

Equitable Financial Life Insurance Company seeks an IT Project Delivery Manager, Agile Software Delivery II for its Charlotte, NC location.

Duties: Oversee necessary effort estimations and prioritization of work by the team to delivery on time and in budget, including tracking and monitoring forecasts, managing actual expenses and correcting budget variances. Plan project stages and assess business implications for each stage. Manage project execution to ensure adherence to budget, schedule, and scope. Manage operational aspects of a project and scope, including resourcing and Agile practices such as authoring features and user stories, iterative planning and demos, backlog, forecasts, releases, queries, reports, dashboards, and other ceremonies. Oversee day-to-day project planning, coordination, monitoring and control, configuration management, risk and issue management, vendor management and metrics. Develop or update project plans including information such as project objectives, technologies, systems, information specifications, schedules, funding, and staffing. Prepare project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends. Establish and execute a project communication plan. Assign duties, responsibilities, and spans of authority to project personnel. Execute delivery through written and verbal communications, influence, negotiation, group facilitation and elicitation skills, including with senior sponsors and executives. Schedule and facilitate meetings related to information technology projects. Direct and coordinate activities of project personnel. Develop and manage WBS of information technology projects. Collaborate with IT Vendor Management, Corporate Sourcing and Procurement teams to identify, onboard and manage third parties. Monitor or track project milestones and deliverables. Provide support to tracking and monitoring projects or work stream financial forecasts, managing budget to actual expenses, and budget variances. Confer with project personnel to identify and resolve problems. Initiate, review, and approve modifications to project plans. Identify opportunities for improvement and make constructive suggestions for change.

Qualifications

Requires a Bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or a closely related IT field plus 6 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience as an IT Project Manager, Programmer Analyst or related position analyzing, designing, and developing customized large scale, enterprise-wide mainframe application interfacing with distributed systems in US Life Insurance, Annuities and Wealth Management domains. Must have experience with: ZOS, COBOL, PL1, SQL, JCL, CICS; Designing, creating and accessing existing file systems and databases created in VSAM, IMS, and DB2; Creating budget/Expense reports, roadmaps, estimates, project plans, tracking progress, resolving issues and managing risk using Microsoft Project, HP-PPM, and SAP Ariba; Analyzing dependencies of system platform integration with distributed and open systems using CICS Web Services and MQ Series; Identifying updates required and impacts to legacy applications by ZOS automation tools and utilities – TPX, CA7, REXX, CLIST, SAR, (CA-View), QMF and DB2 Stored procedures and utilities; Scheduling releases using ITSM process workflows for Change Management using Service Now; and Identifying opportunities for improvement and facilitating Agile development processes and scrum objectives including writing user stories, estimation and prioritization techniques, backlog refinement, sprint planning, daily scrums, retrospectives, and sprint reviews using VSTS. 40 hours/week. Salary is $127,338 - $134,000. Hybrid work schedule: 2d-in office/3d-remote. Direct applicants only.
