Huntington National Bank IT Infrastructure Architect - Senior in Charlotte, North Carolina

Summary:The Principal Architect-Senior provides the technical vision and direction for the integration of all information systems.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversees the definition of architecture requirements for all information systems, covering both functional and non-functional (i.e., performance, reliability, security) aspects.

  • Defines and documents the key architectural concepts, abstractions and the target system architecture, spanning application, information/data and technical infrastructure.

  • Selects strategic tools and platforms for development, testing and deployment.

  • Ensures the communication of principle technical drivers such as trends, best practice, setting and applying standards.

  • Defines technical objectives, goals, constraints, key features and overall architecture approach.

  • Mentors technical staff.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or a related field, or equivalent work experience.

  • 7+ years of related experience in IT Architecture.

  • Strong understanding of enterprise integration patterns and technologies such as APIs, SOA (Service-Oriented Architecture), microservices, and event-driven architecture.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • IT experience designing architectures and delivering information systems including data/information architecture, technical infrastructure, architecture and application architecture

  • Hands-on experience in designing and implementing integration solutions.

  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript 2.

  • Knowledge of cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and their integration capabilities

  • Banking Domain preferred.

  • Certification in ITIL, TOGAF, or equivalent is preferred.

  • Experience with ArchiMate or equivalent modeling language.

  • Related experience must align with an Architect role and responsibilities. The position focuses heavily on documentation and alignment to IT solution governance procedures.

Compensation Range:

Total Base Pay Range 93,000.00 - 189,000.00 USD Annual

The compensation range represents the low and high end of the base compensation range for this position. Actual compensation will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance.  Colleagues in this position are also eligible to participate in an applicable incentive compensation plan.  In addition, Huntington provides a variety of benefits to colleagues, including health insurance coverage, wellness program, life and disability insurance, retirement savings plan, paid leave programs, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).
