Job Title: Senior Reporting Analyst
Location: Charlotte, NC or remote
Pay Range: $50-$65/HR
Job Summary:
Jefferson Wells is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Reporting Analyst to join our Charlotte-based client for a contract engagement. This role will be responsible for internal reporting, compliance, financial statement creation, financial statement audits, and ensuring adherence to US GAAP. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial reporting and compliance, excellent analytical skills, and a thorough understanding of accounting principles.
Key Responsibilities:
Internal Reporting : Prepare and analyze internal financial reports, providing insights and recommendations to management for decision-making.
Compliance : Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and industry regulatory requirements.
Financial Statement Creation : Assist in the preparation and review of financial statements, ensuring accuracy and adherence to US GAAP.
Financial Statement Audit : Coordinate and support external auditors during financial statement audits, providing necessary documentation and resolving audit queries.
US GAAP Adherence : Ensure all financial reporting and accounting practices comply with US GAAP standards.
Data Analysis : Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
Documentation : Maintain accurate and organized documentation of financial reports, audit findings, and compliance records.
Process Improvement : Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy in reporting and compliance.
Cross-Functional Collaboration : Work closely with other departments to gather necessary information for reporting and ensure alignment with overall business objectives.
Reporting Tools : Utilize financial reporting tools and software to streamline reporting processes and improve data accuracy.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA preferred.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in financial reporting, compliance, and accounting.
Strong knowledge of US GAAP and accounting principles.
Proficiency in financial reporting software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
Experience with compliance and financial statement audits is a plus.
