Job Title: Senior Reporting Analyst

Location: Charlotte, NC or remote

Pay Range: $50-$65/HR

Job Summary:

Jefferson Wells is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Reporting Analyst to join our Charlotte-based client for a contract engagement. This role will be responsible for internal reporting, compliance, financial statement creation, financial statement audits, and ensuring adherence to US GAAP. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial reporting and compliance, excellent analytical skills, and a thorough understanding of accounting principles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Internal Reporting : Prepare and analyze internal financial reports, providing insights and recommendations to management for decision-making.

  • Compliance : Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and industry regulatory requirements.

  • Financial Statement Creation : Assist in the preparation and review of financial statements, ensuring accuracy and adherence to US GAAP.

  • Financial Statement Audit : Coordinate and support external auditors during financial statement audits, providing necessary documentation and resolving audit queries.

  • US GAAP Adherence : Ensure all financial reporting and accounting practices comply with US GAAP standards.

  • Data Analysis : Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.

  • Documentation : Maintain accurate and organized documentation of financial reports, audit findings, and compliance records.

  • Process Improvement : Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy in reporting and compliance.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration : Work closely with other departments to gather necessary information for reporting and ensure alignment with overall business objectives.

  • Reporting Tools : Utilize financial reporting tools and software to streamline reporting processes and improve data accuracy.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA preferred.

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in financial reporting, compliance, and accounting.

  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP and accounting principles.

  • Proficiency in financial reporting software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.

  • Experience with compliance and financial statement audits is a plus.
