Nelson Mullins is looking to add a Corporate Associate to its energy group in the Charlotte office. As an AmLaw100 firm, this will offer a unique opportunity to a lateral associate who wants to be part of a growing office.
Located downtown, our Charlotte office overlooks a bustling metropolitan area with many attractions, including restaurants, entertainment, and nightlife. You’ll be joining a growing and dedicated team handling a wide range of corporate financings and mergers & acquisitions in the energy, telecom, high-technology, and manufacturing industries. You will assist the team with the development and financing of thermal and renewable energy projects, including wind, solar, geothermal, hydro, waste-to-energy, natural gas and coal facilities, and natural gas pipelines. Copy of law school transcript
You have at least three years of meaningful corporate/transactional experience. You’re knowledgeable in the areas of FERC regulation, mergers & acquisitions and have experience drafting purchase and merger agreements. You are comfortable counseling clients on a wide range of energy issues before federal and state regulatory bodies, including the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC). You are a member of the North Carolina bar or admitted to and in good standing with another state's bar (and willing to sit before the North Carolina Bar) with excellent academic credentials and strong writing, analytical, and communications skills.
