What you'll do:

Directs and provides overall strategic management of a global compliance team for a department or line of business. Responsible for the overall compliance of Service Organization Controls reviews/audits, policies and procedures, and Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity plans. Develops, implements and enforces department and/or line of business compliance globally, ensuring quality while mitigating risk to our clients and the Company. Manages the relationship with our external auditors globally.

Interprets, implements, and develops functional policy, procedure, and process for a department and/or line of business globally. Coordinates the internal and external audit plans across departments and ensures that the plans are comprehensive, consistent, cohesive, and effective globally. Responsible for ensuring audit concerns are communicated, remediated and reevaluated.

Ensures systems and processes are in compliance with acceptable practices and applicable external regulations globally.

Oversees and approves global department and/or line of business compliance communication related to policy and procedure updates/changes and the Business Continuity Plan.

Oversees and manages Service Organization Control audit coordination across lines of business globally and manages the relationships with external auditors. Educates and advises department and line of business leaders on Service Organization Controls globally. Responsible for completion and maintenance of required Service Organization Controls documentation, reports, and report letters. Partners with external auditors when vital.

Solicits, evaluates and provides input and recommendations on potential risks and processes that affect the Service Organization Control compliance and Business Continuity Plan. Coordinates with external clients on document needs relative to the Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Plans. Is recognized as the global resource for IT relative to both plans.

Champions global and line of business change initiatives.

Develops contingency plans to meet unexpected changes in the business environment.

Establishes global strategic objectives and goals for department and staff and monitors and reports on accomplishments.

Prepares and delivers presentations to all levels of management including the Governance Council and Leadership Conferences, and including Market Leaders and Strategic Account Leaders.

Serve as expert resource and participates in Compliance consulting engagements upon request.

Other duties as assigned.

Manages the planning, organization, and controls for a major functional area or department. May be responsible for a mix of direct and matrix reports. Approves subordinate's recommendations for staff recruitment, selection, promotion, advancement, corrective action and termination. Effectively recommends same for direct reports to next level management for review and approval. Monitors appropriate staffing levels and reports on utilization and deployment of human resources. Leads and supports staff in areas of staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising and rewarding performance and retention. Leads by example and models behaviors that are consistent with the company's values.

Four-year degree plus a minimum of 15 years professional level accounting with experience with Service Organization Controls audits and reporting.

Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret business documents. Ability to respond effectively to issues. Ability to write reports, manuals, speeches and articles using distinctive style. Ability to make effective and persuasive presentations on topics to employees, clients, top management and/or public groups. Ability to empower and negotiate effectively with key employees, top management, and client groups to take desired action.

Requires in-depth knowledge of financial terms, principles and compliance. Reviews financial/business analysis and reports prepared by subordinates. Ability to analyze the most business/financial data and develop innovative solutions. Develops and implements financial policies and procedures. Approves and coordinates department budget. Requires expert level knowledge of global real estate accounting practices and global expertise of Service Organization Controls compliance.
