This position is part of the Sports Marketing College Networks team supporting ACC and SEC Network based in Charlotte, NC. As an Intern on our team, you will support marketing activations and fan experiences while collaborating on marketing efforts with various internal and external stakeholders such as Social Media. You will support the Marketing team in day-to-day marketing maintenance and creative campaign development and will have the opportunity to partner with school organizations on promotion and outreach.

What You Will Do

  • Communicate with Media and creative partners, assisting in the scheduling and delivery of creative materials

  • Facilitate content and video footage gathering, footage and music clearances, and creative archive management

  • Drive creative deliverables and timelines to ensure work is finished, delivered, and trafficked on time (and on budget)

  • Partner with the team in development of marketing briefs to internal and external partners in support of priority initiatives, content, and creative development from inception to approvals and execution

  • Assist the team in coordination of the marketing budget and processing of all invoices/payments to vendors

  • Track performance of all digital and email efforts and be a resident expert on all key performance metrics

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Previous internship or comparable experience in sports marketing or a related field

  • Strong knowledge of college athletics, particularly the ACC and SEC

  • Communication and organizational skills

  • Must provide a cover letter as part of the application process

Preferred Qualifications & Skills

  • Demonstrated leadership experience in a professional or organizational role

  • Marketing and/or channel marketing related experience, particularly with athletic departments

  • Experience with Google Suite (PowerPoint/Excel), Photoshop and Adobe Suite

Education

  • Senior year preferred

  • Major or previous coursework in Marketing, Sports Media or related major preferred

Eligibility Requirements & Program Information

Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the below requirements:

  • Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship

  • Current Disney Interns, College, International, or Culinary Program Participants: You may only work for ONE consecutive year (12 months) in any combination of an internship and/or program

  • Be at least 18 years of age

  • Possess unrestricted work authorization

Additional Information

  • Fully available from Monday through Friday for the duration of the internship, 40 hours each week. There may be some flexibility in number of hours based on candidate’s academic schedule

  • Able to provide own housing for the duration internship program in the Charlotte, NC area. A limited amount of housing assistance may be provided for those who are eligible.

  • Able to provide/have reliable transportation to/from work

The pay rate for this role in Charlotte, NC is $22 per hour.
