The Director, US International Tax has responsibility for reporting the international tax impact of Dentsply Sirona for regional operations on the US tax return and global quarterly tax provision. Functionally this role breaks down approximately: 40% tax planning, 30% assisting overseas personnel on tax related matters 30% compliance and tax accounting review.
Ensure the company’s international tax matters are properly addressed including:
proper US GAAP tax reporting of international operations
support for international income tax audits
all other associated corporate income tax compliance as they apply to Dentsply Sirona, Inc. and its subsidiaries
This position holds the responsibility of the following:
accurate and timely calculations for US tax reporting purposes for interim and annual periods
provide and understand required and pertinent information for planning purposes
responsible for the implementation of global income tax reduction strategies
working with Tax Director, EMEA, and other business personnel in the international locations to ensure the results of tax returns and tax audits are accounted for correctly, and necessary steps are taken to respond to tax audit information requests timely and appropriately.
The following are additional requirements for this role:
Coach, mentor and teach tax department staff on tax technical matters to provide them with ample learning opportunities to grow in their profession.
Responsible for completing analytical tax research of new tax legislation and determine how both new and existing legislation applies to our organizational structure.
Develop and maintain relationships with others in the company to facilitate information gathering and understanding of the business
Monitor US international tax regulations as well as changes in local country tax regulations and consider their impact on the Company.
Contribute to the department initiatives and/or implement process improvements
Assist Senior Director, International Tax, with other tasks, as assigned
Education:
Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent
CPA preferred, but not required
Advanced degree (MST, JD/LLM) preferred, but not required
Years and Type of Experience:
10 or more years of progressive tax experience
Multinational Corporation Experience
Experience with Big 4 accounting firm preferred, but not required
Experience with OneSource suite of software, including tax preparation and provision, is preferred, but not required
Experience with analytic tools, such as Alteryx or Power BI, preferred but not required
Experience with project management
Strong analytical skills, ability to problem solve and provide potential solutions to others
Strong communication skills, verbal and written
Hands-on and good work ethic
Ability to build good working relationships, both internal and external stakeholders
