Job Description:
This job is responsible for configuring complex software delivery automation. Key responsibilities include ensuring software deployments are configured to meet access, ownership, and authentication standards. This job may modify code for software deployment automation and ensures software promotion pipelines for complex/high availability applications follow Continuous Delivery best practices. Job expectations include the ability to integrate development, testing practices, software delivery tools, and runtime application standards at the bank.
Position Summary
The individual in this role is responsible for configuring and delivering complex software delivery automation. Key responsibilities of this role include ensuring that complex or custom software deployments are configured to meet standards for access, ownership and authentication. This role may enhance or extend code for software deployment automation. This role ensures software promotion pipelines for high availability or other complex applications are well designed and follow Continuous Delivery best practices. This individual will conversant with development, testing practices, software delivery tools and runtime application standards at the bank and ensure they are integrated during implementation.
Key Responsibilities:
Subject matter expert, and mentor to development application and DevOps teams on the use of HashiCorp Vault for accessing, managing, and storing of secrets.
Use DevOps principles and practices to minimize the challenges of rapidly iterating, integrating, delivering and securing applications through the use of CI/CD (Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery) principles.
Leverage existing infrastructure APIs, subject matter experts, and programming skills to create and/or improve existing secrets management workflows.
Designs and develops with a 'security first' mindset at all times, and is viewed as a security thought leader.
Excellent communications and stakeholder management expertise in order to describe and deliver best security policies through repeatable and consumable automations and workflows.
Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in a DevOps role, with a proven track record of managing and maintaining complex software systems.
Must have good hands on experience in implementing end to end CD pipelines for various tech stacks preferably with using Ansible, Jenkins, XLR (Release from Digital.ai), Datical, Radical etc. tools.
Industry certifications such as Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) or RedHat Certified Engineer are highly desirable.
Strong understanding of software development methodologies, agile practices, and the software development lifecycle.
Experience with high-traffic and high-availability global enterprise critical systems
Creative problem solver with the ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously to deliver solutions.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make data-driven decisions.
A passion for continuous learning and keeping up to date with the latest trends and technologies in DevOps and software engineering.
Cyber Security domain knowledge and experience is preferred.
