About the Opportunity

The Compressed Air Auditor supports the outside sales team in generating sales by conducting audits of customers' compressed air system performance, analyzing the results of the audits, and preparing audit reports comparing the customers' system performance with the recommended compressed air system(s).

As Compressed Air Auditor for Pattons you will:

  • Prepare proposals for full audit offering according to best practices in the compressed air auditing industry
  • Program auditing equipment (loggers) and travel to customer sites to install; return to customer sites to retrieve auditing equipment as required
  • Review customers' current compressed air system setup and document opportunities for improvement for audit
  • Perform ultrasonic leak detection at customer facilities to determine leak rates; tag and document severity of leaks
  • Work with local service personnel for equipment removal as well as train service departments on proper leak audit performance
  • Perform demand-side walkthroughs to determine areas for compressed air reduction, such as blower or vacuum applications
  • Analyze recorded data; formulate recommendations and calculate return on investment
  • Ensure recommendations are aligned with customers' budget requirements
  • Develop product-neutral, comprehensive compressed air system audit reports for presentation by outside sales representatives (System Specialists); partner with Systems Specialists to present audit findings on an as-needed basis
  • Develop basic piping layout drawings and compressed air system schematics (block diagrams) using MS Visio and/or Auto CAD (or equivalents)
  • Collaborate with Director, Sales to further develop and enhance audit offering and technology
  • Other tasks as needed or assigned

About You

The Compressed Air Auditor opportunity may be a match for you if you have the following qualifications:

  • Minimum 2-5 years' relevant experience; Associate's Degree in a relevant field; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Proficiency with MS Office as well as AutoCAD and/or MS Visio
  • Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams relative to instrumentation and controls
  • Effective written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Proven mechanical aptitude and a fundamental understanding of electrical troubleshooting
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Strong internal and external customer focus
  • Ability to travel up to 50%

Our ideal candidate also has the following qualifications:

  • U.S. D.O.E. AIRMaster+ Specialist certification
  • CAGI Compressed Air System Specialist certification
