Experience communications professional role that supports Enterprise Tech leadership and strategy. Collaborate regularly with others in Communications, Marketing, Functions or Business Segments. Work independently and collaboratively to produce creative messaging, stories, and presentations. Synthesize information and formulate into compelling messaging. Adept at strategic thinking, strong judgment, and confidentiality. Writing to include internal and external messaging, social media, talking points, and stories.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.

  1. Develop and execute internal and external communications strategy and messaging for CIO and other Enterprise Technology leaders.

  2. Work with regional, industry, and other select media to create positive media mentions of Truist products, services, brand, and purpose.

  3. Assist with leadership message development, spokesperson training, issues management, and internal communications for Enterprise Technology.

  4. Serve as the primary point of contact for Technology strategy team, providing communications resources and counsel.

  5. Collaborate with the social media team on messages, issues, and opportunities.

  6. Contribute content/messaging and graphics/videos for town halls, conferences, speaking engagements and events.

  7. Forge relationships with Technology leaders to gain knowledge, align communications objectives and goals with the business, and serve as a trusted consultative partner.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree, or equivalent education and related training

  2. 5-7 years of related experience

  3. Demonstrated corporate communications internal and external message development and project management

  4. Strong writing, editing and verbal communication skills

  5. Proficiency in using communications technology, video production and mass communications techniques

  6. Ability to negotiate within a team and influence others at peers

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Marketing, or English

  2. Experience in Financial Services industry, or agency experience
