Job Description: Business Unit Controller

Position Overview: The Business Unit Controller is responsible for managing the financial operations of a specific business unit. This role involves strategic planning, financial management, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. The Business Unit Controller will work closely with other departments to provide financial insights and support the overall business strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Management: Oversee all financial operations within the business unit, including the preparation and analysis of financial reports and statements.

  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement financial strategies to achieve the business unit's objectives.

  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Conduct budgeting and forecasting activities to ensure the business unit operates within budget.

  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.

  • Cost-Saving Measures: Identify and implement cost-saving measures to improve financial efficiency.

  • Financial Performance Monitoring: Monitor the business unit's financial performance and provide recommendations for improvement.

  • Risk Management: Conduct financial risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to provide financial insights and advice.

Requirements:

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's degree or CPA preferred).

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial management, preferably within the manufacturing or industrial sector.

  • Proven experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.

  • 2+ years of management experience.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong understanding of financial regulations and compliance requirements.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Proficiency in financial software and tools (e.g., ERP systems, Excel).

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

  • High attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $98000.00 - $110000.00/yr.
