Union Associate Director of Media in Charlotte, North Carolina

The Associate Director, Integrated Media, is a team leader for the media department, overseeing all media disciplines inclusive of paid search, programmatic, display & video, paid social, social media, and other media channels. They will manage discipline supervisors as direct reports. This role will be expected to be a strategic lead across all core media client accounts. Primarily responsible for development best practices, processes, and strategies to steer and monitor overall media department success. Acts as a digital media SME for internal stakeholders/client partners as well as key point of contact for cross-functional departments. Client programs include data driven digital media campaigns and integrated multi-channel campaigns to successfully engage and influence consumers at each funnel stage. Focused on the growth and development of direct reports. Will have a hand in helping pitch new business and account growth for media specific opportunities.

  • Roles & Responsibilities

  • Works collaboratively across departments to develop the strategic frameworks for innovative, omnichannel / integrated media plans

  • Manage senior media team members, providing direction for best practices and growth as managers of their teams

  • Developing internal processes to ensure consistent campaign performance and overseeing documentation for processes

  • Mastery of all campaign management and planning & optimization functional responsibilities

  • Responsible for the client’s media performance that delivers against client's goals and KPIs

  • Contribute to the development of forward thinking strategies and campaigns

  • Act as a omnichannel lead on core client media accounts, driving overarching cross-channel media strategy

  • Responsible for giving direction to the media partners, platforms, and internal resources as it pertains to the client work

  • Confident and articulate presentation of strategies, media plans, and ideas to internal and external stakeholders

  • Act as a Media SME and support new business and account growth

Qualifications:

  • Deep knowledge of digital media strategy and channels including paid search, paid social, programmatic, display and video, retail media, etc.

  • Proficiency within Social Platforms (Facebook/Instagram, TikTok, Twitter, Pinterest, Snapchat, LinkedIn)

  • Proficiency within DSPs to run Video & Display (Google’s DV360, Amazon AAP, etc.)

  • Proficiency in Google Marketing Platform

  • Proficient user of digital ads trafficking tools (DCM, etc.)

  • Proficient user of Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint

  • Digital media strategy and plan development

  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-departmental teams

  • 7-9+ years experience within digital media agency and/or in-house digital media role

  • Leader that wants to have a profound impact on an organization’s long term media strategy

  • Manager that can create a positive working environment and fosters a collaborative team approach
