Robert Half Assistant Director of Finance in Charlotte, North Carolina

Description We are looking for a meticulous and experienced Bookkeeper to join our team based in Charlotte, North Carolina. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of various entities, including a church, two schools, a TV ministry, and a parking lot. The role will involve managing accounts payable and receivable, handling payroll, and ensuring all financial records are kept accurately and up-to-date.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage the financial operations of various entities within the organization

• Handle accounts payable and receivable, ensuring all transactions are processed accurately and promptly

• Manage payroll for over 100 employees, including benefits, garnishments, and deductions

• Use Automated Church System (ACS) and ADP for payroll processing

• Maintain accurate financial records and perform regular account reconciliations

• Ensure all financial data is entered accurately and efficiently into the system

• Assist with the month-end close process

• Use Microsoft Excel for data analysis and report generation

• Identify and rectify any errors in financial records

• Collaborate with the HR team to ensure seamless financial operations

• Potentially work from home a day or two depending on need and skillset. Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role such as Bookkeeper

• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation

• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Proficient in Bank Reconciliations

• Experience in Bookkeeping is essential

• Strong Data Entry skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required

• Experience in Month End Close

• Experience in Payroll management

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work

• Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize work

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
