Job Summary
The Assistant Director of Gift Shops Corporate Operations is responsible for overseeing all gift shops across multiple facilities and ensuring their profitability. This role involves providing guidance to management teams at various locations for retail gift shop operations. The Assistant Director continuously strives to enhance the 'Remarkable Patient Experience' by modifying gift shop departmental operations to meet or exceed patients and team members expectations.
This position is a 100% On-site position with mobility across the Novant Health footprint

Qualifications
Education: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred. Bachelor’s degree.
Experience: 5 years in a similar position or retail operations, required.
Additional Skills/Requirements (required):
• This is a 100% on site position with mobility across the Novant Health footprint.
• Oversee operating profit targeted per square footage in all Shops, Production of quarterly reports from KPI Dashboard, develop quarterly update presentation for department executive leadership and recommends viable strategies with supporting options to improve the square footage profitability in a quarterly basis.
• Participates in market committees for compliance and regulatory purposes
• Supports the development of strategic direction for department operations to create a consistent Novant Health experience across all sites.
• Manage the implementation of market-wide projects to improve performance within departments and the POS Counterpoint system.
• Reviews and refines the Novant Health instance of Counterpoint to streamline processes and enhance patient and team member experiences.
• Collaborates with DPS, Sourcing management, finance, and other departments to stay informed about technology and policy changes.
• Oversees the budgetary process, problem-solving, re-engineering, planning, and goal setting for all gift shops.
• Participates in the yearly development and ongoing maintenance of team goals and objectives.
• Implements department strategies to maintain and manage key performance indicators.
• Ensures high employee satisfaction results and gift shop profitability.
