Robert Half Document Controller in Charleston, Tennessee

Description

We are seeking a Document Controller for our client located in Charleston, Tennessee. This role is part of a dynamic team that manages and organizes critical documents across various locations, ensuring accuracy, accessibility, and security while adhering to industry standards and best practices. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the creation, revision, and distribution of documents, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements

• Develop and maintain document control procedures and workflows to streamline processes and enhance efficiency

• Utilize advanced features of Windows 365 and SharePoint to manage document repositories, version control, and access permissions

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather, organize, and catalog documents related to various projects and initiatives

• Conduct regular audits to verify the accuracy and completeness of document records, resolving discrepancies as needed

• Provide training and support to staff members on document control processes and software applications

• Assist in the implementation of document management systems and tools to improve workflow automation and information retrieval

• Act as a liaison between internal departments and external stakeholders to facilitate the exchange of documents and information

• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in document management, continuously seeking opportunities for process improvement

• Maintain confidentiality and integrity of sensitive information in accordance with company policies and legal requirements.

Requirements

• Prior experience of 2+ years in a Document Controller role

• Proficiency in using Adobe Acrobat for document handling and processing

• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel for data analysis and report generation

• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suites for daily administrative tasks

• Experience in Correspondence for effective communication within and outside the organization

• Proficiency in Document Control to manage and safeguard company documents

• Experience in using Microsoft SharePoint for document management and storage

• Ability to Perform Special Projects as assigned by the management

• Experience in conducting Detailed Review of documents for accuracy and completeness

• Ability to generate Detailed Reports on document control activities.
