Responsibilities of a Container & Trailer Technician Instructor:

• Teach using approved materials and methods

• Deliver student-centered instruction and objectives

• Ensure compliance with teaching standards

• Enforce school policies and advise students on academics and discipline

• Provide tutoring and academic support

• Maintain accurate attendance and grade records

• Mentor and train team members

• Collaborate with departments to achieve goals

• Maintain containers and chassis to safety standards

  Requirements of a Container & Trailer Technician Instructor:

  5+ years’ experience completing FMCSA and IICL inspections

• Including but not limited to troubleshooting and repair of:

• Wheel end and tires

• Electrical systems

• Air Brake systems and Suspensions

• Doors, panels and floors

• Structural Welding (cutting/patching/straightening)

• Locking devices

• Ability to obtain TWIC card

• Proficient in MS Office suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)

• High school diploma / GED

• 50% travel during workweek

• Bilingual a plus

  Certifications Preferred:

• IICL

• FMCSA

• Welding certification

• Refrigerant Handling license

  Pay Range: $80,000 - $90,000
